X'mas Flight

Santa gave us against wind.  ;)  wind was not cold, so it was not good condition....

Snowless Late Autumn

Though the cold air came to North Japan this week, our area did not have snow.  Even Mt. Hakusan (2702 M) is covered with little snow.

Autumn Sunday

it was the final day of this season for our sky-park.   it took long time to reach the launch because of a lot of visitor.

Autumn Colored View

Every autumn, we can enjoy autumn colored view around the Southern border of Shishiku Area.

No Flight in Strong Wind

Season-off is coming and coming... Today, i could not have any chance to glide.

Hakuba

Hakuba, Northern part of Japan's Alps, got autumn season.  I enjoyed one hour flight there.

Fall in the Air

Although color of few leaves were changed, I felt fall in the air... It was so weak condition to glide  :)

In almost of paddy fields in the Kaga Plain,  the crops were in.

ADAM is CUREd on BASE?

In these days, numbers of BGD riders are increasing in our home Area.  The wing in this photo is BASE probably.

Weak Condition

In this autumn, I had "bitter condition" when I glided in the Shishiku Area.  A stationary front makes this condition.  We have to wait for its passing.

Higan-Bana

In late September, the Shishiku Area had lots of red cluster amaryllis.  In Japanese, it is called "Higan-Bana".  "Bana" means flower.  "Higan" means death.  Thus this plant has poison.

Harvest

Rice was harvested around our Landing site in the Shishiku Area.  I do not know that it was a good crop or not this autumn.  Anyway, we got larger space to land.  ;)

Butterflies

Recently, there are a lot of b-flies in our Area.  In calm condition, they fly near ground.

Orange Cosmos

i went to Ohkuradake-Kogen have practice of kiting.  There are a lot of orange cosmos and north wind of autumn.

The Best Month

In the Shishiku Area, the best month to soar is August.  I today enjoyed flight before another surgery scheduled in late August.  

Visitors in Summer

The landing site of the Shishiku Area is surrounded with riceyards. In summer, we have visitor flyers there.

A Cute Staff

i had practice for kiting.  In a break time, i attended to puppy of the paragliding school.    it was much more fun than kiting training.

Just Watching

Last month, I crushed immediately after launch.  So, I needed surgery to repair my orbital floor fracture.  Just watching my friends' flights is my week-end leisure. ;(

The Season Has Come!

In the Shishiku Area, the high season for paragliding had come.  Especially, it was so goooood condition today.  XD

Area for Everyone

I hope our Flight Area, Shishiku, would be the best place to enjoy with family.  

North Wind

When I came to the Launch in Shishiku Area, North wind had come there.  X( 

At first, I straggled to gain altitude around the Launch, but I gave up and went across the River Tedori.  The opposite side has clam air.

we had a guest who has handicap.  Of course, we support him to launch.  No problem!

BASE

it was poor condition to soar today, but one young flyer kept staying for more than 4 hours.  BASE can be good wing to manage weak upper current.

Hang in There!

Japan, located in east end of the world, often has earthquake and volcanic eruption.  last month, there was large earthquake in Kumamoto, Kyushu Is.  A lot of people still stay at the evacuation shelters there. This wing in this photo has message for the victims.

Into the Rainy Season

The Pacific Ocean Side in Japan got into the rainy season today.  In the Northern part of Japan, we still have a time until the rainy season.

A Sports Day

In our Area, Asahi elementary school held a sport meeting.

Catsear

in late spring, our launch in the Shishiku Area is covered with yellow flowers.  In Japan, it is called "butana", which is originated from " Salade de porch" in French.

Spring Park

It was good Sunday.  Flight condition was not so good.  thus a lot of people enjoyed watching paraglyders at the park in Our Area.

Fly with Leaf

I had a chance to test LEAF (EN-B).  It was easy to handle, but i was unsatisfied with its speed.  I think that it would be good wing for stepping up.

Great Senior

He is a well-experienced pilot in our Area.  This month, he got new glider, CURE.
 Thus I will never reach him.  X(

Plains in Water

We had a flight at the Tonamino Area in Toyama Pref. In this season, rice yards are filled up with water.  The Tonamino plains are a rice-producing district

Kikuhime

My home area, Shishiku, is in Tsurugi.  This town has very famous sake breweries, Kikuhime and Manzairaku.  This photo shows the building of Kikuhime brewery.  Kikuhime is one of the goddesses in the birth-myth of Japan.  She mediated a quarrel between the Emperor and Empress at the underworld in early days of Japan.  

 

My Older Glider

I had a flight with my older glider, MXC2, in strong wind.  It is 5 years old, and slightly loses stability in rough condition.  

It was Cure.

I tried to ride CURE (EN-C).  it was really the wing, which was designed by Bruce.  It has stability of EN-C grade, but it will work actively. It made pitch-down as I did.  XD   I could trust its stability.

Rape Blossoms

Around the Landing site, there are a lot of field mustard.  Their yellow flowers are so cute in these days.

Sakura

Cherry blossom in  our Area got its season.

The Stone Pit

This stone pit is one of the big target in outside of Southern border of the Shishiku Area.  I reached that today, but I could not reach the landing point. X(

Spring Sky

It was blurred today.  In spring, the sky is usually hazy due to vapor, Asian dust, and pollen....

Mt. Hakusan in Spring

it was so clear sky.  We got enjoyed beutiful view of White mountain “Hakusan”.  

Spring Wind from North

North East is the worst direction, but North West is good direction.  The direction of today's wind was faint between NE and NW. I gave up flight today, but some flyers took it.

Mt. Hakusan

In early spring, we could enjoy winter and spring air condition.  The white moutain “Hakusan” is the most baeutiful in this season.

On My Way Home

I went to the Shikoku Is. to visit my mother in hospital.  It was warm like as in spring, though it was snow storm, when i left my home town, Kanazawa.
I had a flight at the Ohkoshi Area in Sakaide on my way home.

Runway in Winter

In winter, we have to make runway to take off.   We cannot rush with full forth on snow.  So, it is necessary to make the most of wing's competence.

Gliding in Snowing

Fortunately, i got a chance to glide, but i met snow during my flight.  it was fun, although it was cold so much.  ;)

Few Chances

My forecast was wrong.  I missed flight chance.  In winter, there is few chances to fly in the Shishiku Area.  It is limited very much.  orz

It's Warmer, but It's Winter

My friend and I had the first flight in 2016 at the Shishiku Area.  It is warmer in this winter, but the today's air was cold and clear.   

Above Sea

In the Areas in Sakaide, we have to glide above sea to adjust altitude for the final glide.

Mt. Ohkoshi

This butte is one of the vestiges of ancient volcano.  There are a lot of butte hills in Sanuki Plain.
