Ishikawa Forest Experiment Station

This is one of the prefectural facilities. In Southern part in Shishiku Area, this is one of the points to dicide going ahead or back. Anyway, we must not land in this station. Every tree in it should be kept intact.

keeping the condition

In winter, it's hard to make the Launch condition good. We should thank him for it.

Northern High-Voltage Line

This is the Northern borderline for student flyers. Pilots can cross it, but it is somehow difficult to find thermal points out of this border.

Field of Cosmos

Okuradake-Kogen has cosmos garden. It 's so beautiful from late summer to autumn.

Practice Field2

At Okuradake-Kogen, not only beginners but also flyers who already flies in Shishiku Area have a practice of ground handling. I sometimes enjoy rising up my wing there, too. It's so fun!

Shishiku-Kogen Paraglider School has a practice field for beginners. This field is a slope of Okuradake-Kogen Skiing Ground. This field faces to North and get the wind from the Japan sea in a fine day.

The Landing

This is the Landing in Shishiku Area. Shishiku Area is public managed by Hakusan city. This Landing is more beautiful than any other landing which I've ever landed. Anyway, Hakusan city makes good job. :-)

Cloudy Sunday

I went to Shishiku Area. It was cloudy and back wind condition. A few flyers had flight, but I did not went up to the launch. In this condition, there is no chance to keep flying.

just tired, no flight

Today, it was mainly back wind, but sometimes wind stopped and came against. In winter, we have a very few chances in noon to 2 pm to fly. I was supposed to get the first flight of this year, but I lost stamina by just one failure to rise up my wing. Slope covered with snow was so slippery. It was so hard for me to climb up with glider and harness.
Anyway, I will get another wind tomorrow! I hope...

Paragliding School

I learned paragliding at Shishiku-Kogen Paraglider School, which belonged to JHF. School staff are young but experienced very well. They instruct us not only paragliding, but also skiing, snowboarding, swimming, cooking, eating, and drinking...... ;-)

View of Sky Shishiku

Sky Shishiku is a park of outdoor leisure. It has launch for para and hang gliders, slope for ski and snowboard, and camping sites. The building in Sky Shishiku has a restaurant and a bakery. Bread baked by this bakery is fragranced with butter too much. I don't like that. :-(

LAUNCH

This is the Launch to take off at my home area, Shishiku. It has 450 m hight from the Landing and faces to west. Gondola takes us to the Launch......One way 600 yen! There is space enough to spread 4 wings. Hang-gliders also use the same launch.

This winter

We do not have much snow, yet. This photo was taken last March. Snow makes the land white and black. I like this view so much.
Anyway, I've not yet had flight this year. A Siberian cold air mass is getting strong this week. I guess that the first flight of this year would be held in next month.

My Wing

This is my wing, Skywalk POISON (DHV2-3). I spent several months to adapt myself to it two years ago. This yellow and green desighn was ordered by myself. My brother said that this color was associated with Jamaican Flag.
