Waiting for the Season

February is ending, and March is coming. It is not so long before the flight season starts.

Red One

This color glows on blue sky. Anyway, he always flies above me.

Go! Go! Mac!!

Recently, MacPara MAGUS5 won the inpotant races of Paragliding in Japan. This month, MAGUS5 won JPA Japan Grand prix. In Shishiku Area, MacPara flyers goes on increasing.

Magic3

He is one of the veteran pilot of Shishiku Area. I learned a lot of things for paragliding from him. He sometimes shows me magical flight.
As you can see in this photo, his hight was too low, I thought. So, I anxiously followed above him. However, he reached the Landing easily.

Still Winter

After skiing at Sena-Kogen, I stopped at the Landing of Shishiku Area on the way to home. The Landing was covered with snow entirely.

Spring has not come, yet.

Japan's Meteorological Agency said that we had the Spring Storm "Haru Ichiban". However, rain was changed to snow. It is still cold.

Red Eden3

He works in Komatsu Air Forse Base. However, his flight style is not aggressive, but very careful. I beleive that he will be a good pilot in Shishiku.

It's getting warmer.

This afternoon, we had rain, not snow! Weather map shows that the cold high pressure in Siberia weakened recently.

Tomorrow

It will be soarable condition.......
Of course, I have to work. Next weekend? Maybe, it will be back wind judging from a forcasting weather map.

To the North Border

North Border remains green because of lower hight. It is easier to reach North Border than South Border.

Going To the South Border

I like to fly along the woodland road.

Eastern Part

This is a dam in the Eastern part of Shshiku Area. It is not easy to reach this dam, because it's far in the rear of the Area.

Winter View from Shishiku Area

In winter, we have very clear sky. Only the flyer who rises with the ascending current can enjoy the majestic view!

Soarable Holiday

It was fine all day long. It's so rare in winter. From 1 pm, sea breeze gave chance to me for 1 hour soaring. I could see beatiful vew of Mt. Tateyama in neighboring prefecture, Toyama.

Western Part

Beyond the River Tedori, there are lower mountains. In this airspace, it's difficult to find thermal points. When I found the good thermal there, I got a very long flight. The buildings in this Photo are facilities of Japan Advanced Institute of Technology, JAIST.

A Young Flyer2

He is a good at handling the glider on ground, not only on air.

A Young Flyer

This yellow wing is MacPara ENVY. The pilot is a young guy who comes from Kyoto. I like his aggressive flight very much. Sometimes, I try to follow him, but it is so hard for me. I probably need to pluck up my courage.

My Staff

They are my goods to fly. They always work very well for my flight. Do they look tired? Yes, maybe.... They are disgusted by me. :-(

White Land

In winter, the Landing and its neighborhood are turned to be white. It's so beautiful, but this white color tends to make flyers get a worng sense of hight. I was so nervous about that yeasterday.

Season Start!

I had flight today. This is the first flight in 2008! The wind condition was not good. I failed twice to rise up Poison. At third trial, I got lift in no wind. My vario meter kept silent while gliding, but I was very happy. My flight season began!

Master of Air

He is the hottest guy and one of the stuff of Shishiku-Kogen Paraglider School. He can fly with either paraglider or hang glider, and also he can dive from an airplane. Now, he works as a tandem pilot of hang glider at Queenstown in New Zealand.

Red Poison

He is one of the best veterans in Shishiku Pilots. Fortunately, I have the same wing. I try to model myself on him.
